                                 GATE 2017 | What is GATE?

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2017) is committed across the country in eight zones and is an all- India exam and is arrange by Bangalore and other seven IIT”s by the National Coordinating Board and Department of Education and Ministry of Human Resources Development. The Applicant who wants to take entry in Post Graduate Programmes  (ME,  M.Tech, MS, Direct Ph.D.) in institutes like IITs and IISc, etc. MHRD are also offering a scholarship for the applicant who is eligible. For appointing the applicants for various attractive jobs, the GATE scores are used by the PSUs.

There is approximate twenty-three paper arrange in the table below. The Applicant can give only one of the paper listed below in the GATE exam. According to the claimants, plan applicant can select any paper which is eligible for him to take admission in the selected institute and for more information about the institute in India the applicant must check online websites referring to the particular institute you want.

GATE exam also gives the opportunities to the applicants in many public sectors and research organizations by the results achieved by the applicant. GATE exam is not only for post graduation admission but in many other sectors also as per scores are achieved by the applicants, entry is offered in IITs, IISc, and NITS, and opportunities for placements with pay packages around from 7 lakh to 30 lakh. The Applicants qualified GATE exam can get a scholarship of 8000/- p.m in the form of UGC scholarship offered by MHRD (Ministry of Human Resources Development).

GATE 2017 Eligibility | GATE Eligibility 2017:

Eligibility required to appear for GATE 2017 exam:

1- Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (four years after 12th) and those who are pursuing the final year of such program.

2- Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (Post-B.Sc./Post-Diploma) and those who are in the final year of such programs.

3- Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programs.

4- Applicants in the second or higher year of the 4 years Integrated Master’s degree program (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology.

5- Applicants in the fourth or higher year of 5 years Integrated Master’s degree program or both Degree program in Engineering/Technology.

6- Applicants with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India)) as equivalent to B.E. /B. Tech. The applicant who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

Types of question | GATE Question Type:

Multiple Choice Questions:
In nature, this type of question is an objective type question. There are total four option for each question. The applicant has to choose the correct answer from it. 1 or 2 marks is the weight for these type of question.

Numerical Answer Questions:
No choices is available for this type of question. This type of numerical question is has a weight of 1 or 2 marks. For this question, no negative marking is there. To mark the answer of this question the applicant has to tick the real number with the help of mouse.
