Full Form of BAMS is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery: BAMS stands for Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. It’s an undergraduate degree awarded within the field of medicine to people who have completed the study of five and half year medicine course together with one year internship. The minimum criteria to require admission during this course is to complete twelfth class education with science. Once passing the twelfth class, the student is needed to clear a state or national level BAMS entrance examination to urge admission within the various medical college.

The curriculum includes studying and teaching of modern anatomy, physiology, pathology & diagnostic procedures, principles of medicine, preventive and social medicine, pharmacology, toxicology, forensic medicine, ENT, gynecology & obstetrics, Ophthalmology, principles of surgery, etc. along with corresponding Ayurvedic subjects such as Rachana Sharira, Kriya Sharira, Dravyuaguna, Svasthavritta and Yoga, Roga Nidana and Vikriti Vijnana, Kaya Chikitsa, Kaumara Bhritya, Prasuti Tantra, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra etc.

About BAMS:

After finishing the degree, someone will prefer a website of research, Health Supervisor, General practice or Hospital Administration. A graduate can study more and may be admitted to MD or MS programs in Ayurveda, MSc in Health Sciences or Nutrition, or MBA in Hospital health care Management.
